7. Images not printing when trying to print. What do I do?
When printing the webpage in this website (for example, list of all interactions by a protein), in some cases it is possible that it does not print the images.
The probable reason could be, most web browsers by default have the option of printing background images disabled and therefore do not appear when printing with the browser's default settings. In order to resolve this issue, set the print settings explicitly in the browser
Follow the steps below in order to set the background images for printing:
- In Internet Explorer,
- Open Tools menu, select Internet Options
- Click the Advanced tab
- Scroll down to find the Priting heading and select the check box "Print background colors and images."
- Click "Apply"
- In Firefox browser for Windows,
- Open the page you want to print and then click on File -> Page Setup
- Under "Format & Options", select the option "Print Background (colors & images)"
- Click OK
- In Firefox browser for Mac,
- Open the page you want to print and then click on File -> Print.
- Choose Firefox from the print dialog's pull-down menu that defaults to "Copies & Pages."
- Select the checkbox labeled "Print Background Images."
- In Safari browser for Mac,
- Open the page you want to print and then click on File -> Print.
- Choose Safari from the print dialog's pull-down menu that defaults to "Copies & Pages."
- Select the checkbox labeled "Print backgrounds."
