Description for Protein ASH1L

ash1 (absent, small, or homeotic)-like (Drosophila)
1 total interacting proteins;
Icon Book Platelet Evidence (proteome studies/others : 0/0)
(Not detected in platelets)
Summary:
This gene encodes a member of the trithorax group of transcriptional activators. The protein contains four AT hooks, a SET domain, a PHD-finger motif, and a bromodomain. It is localized to many small speckles in the nucleus, and also to cell-cell tight junctions. [provided by RefSeq] (PubMed Links)
Domains and Motifs:
  • AT_hook: DNA binding domain with preference for A/T rich regions
  • SET: SET (Su(var)3-9, Enhancer-of-zeste, Trithorax) domain
  • BROMO: bromo domain
  • PHD: PHD zinc finger
