Description for Protein ABHD12

abhydrolase domain containing 12
No Interacting Proteins
Icon Book Platelet Evidence (proteome studies/others : 1/0)
(membrane: 1)
Summary:
The endocannabinoid lipid transmitter 2-arachidonoyl glycerol (2-AG) acts on cannabinoid receptors CB1 (CNR1; MIM 114610) and CB2 (CNR2; MIM 605051) and functions in synaptic plasticity and neuroinflammation. ABHD12 inactivates 2-AG by converting it into the metabolites arachidonate and glycerol (Fiskerstrand et al., 2010 [PubMed 20797687]).[supplied by OMIM] (PubMed Links)
