Description for Protein ENO2

enolase 2 (gamma, neuronal)
17 total interacting proteins; 7 platelet interacting proteins
Icon Book Platelet Evidence (proteome studies/others : 7/2)
(microparticles: 1; platelet: 6; secretome: 1; undefined: 1)
Summary:
This gene encodes one of the three enolase isoenzymes found in mammals. This isoenzyme, a homodimer, is found in mature neurons and cells of neuronal origin. A switch from alpha enolase to gamma enolase occurs in neural tissue during development in rats and primates. [provided by RefSeq] (PubMed Links)
